Jackie Stewart
Dancer/Choreographer
 

Jackie Stewart is a Chicago native where she began dancing at the age of three under the direction of Maureen Murad. She trained extensively in gymnastics and furthered her dance training at Lou Conte studio. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Iowa. As an undergraduate, Jackie performed in various productions and was a part of Iowa's touring repertory company. She also was a member of Duarte Dance Works Contemporary Company and Deanna Carter Dances which was showcased in Rimini, Italy. Jackie has worked with artists George de La Pena, Deanna Carter, Jennifer Kayle, Armando Duarte, Dan Stark, Paul Christiano, Charlotte Adams, and Eloy and Sarah Barragan. In July 2010 Jackie was awarded the Grand Prize, a $10,000 grant from the Joyce Theatre Foundation, for her work “It's Not Enough to Close Your Eyes” in The A.W.A.R.D. Show 2010 Chicago! Jackie joined Thodos Dance Chicago in 2007.
